FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Everything clients usually ask before their first class, membership purchase, or app booking for reformer Pilates, Lagree, and yoga.
Do I need experience to start?
No, experience is not required. We have formats for different levels: beginners usually feel comfortable starting with yoga or reformer Pilates, and later trying Lagree if they want.
What do you offer in the studio?
We specialize in three directions: reformer Pilates, Lagree, and yoga. This makes it easy to choose a format for a softer start or a more intense training experience.
What is the difference between reformer Pilates and Lagree?
Reformer Pilates is more about technique, control, alignment, and mindful movement. Lagree is a more intense low-impact format with a stronger muscular challenge, endurance work, and longer time under tension.
How is yoga different from reformer Pilates?
Yoga helps develop flexibility, breathing, balance, and inner focus. Reformer Pilates is more focused on core strength, stability, and precise movement patterns.
How do I know what suits me: yoga, reformer, or Lagree?
If you want a softer start, better posture, and stronger support muscles, reformer Pilates is usually a great fit. If you want stretching, breathing, and recovery, yoga may be the best match. If you want a more intense format with deep muscular work, try Lagree.
Can a beginner come to Lagree?
Yes. But if you are completely new to training, we usually recommend starting with yoga or reformer Pilates first so you can feel more confident with technique and body control.
Are classes suitable for women with different fitness levels?
Yes. Giro Girls is a women-only studio, and our classes are designed for women who want to improve strength, mobility, posture, and overall well-being at different training levels.
Are there any age restrictions?
Classes are suitable for adults of different ages. If you have injuries, health conditions, or limitations, it is best to tell the studio team in advance.
Can I join if I have not exercised in a long time?
Yes. We will help you choose a suitable format and training level so your return to movement feels comfortable and safe.
Are these classes good for weight loss?
Yes, regular practice can help strengthen muscles, improve body tone, increase energy expenditure, and improve movement quality. Lagree is often chosen for a more intense load, while yoga and reformer Pilates help with balance and recovery.
Can classes help improve posture?
Yes. Reformer Pilates and yoga are especially effective for posture, stability, and deeper support muscles.
Can I train if I have back pain?
In many cases, softer and well-structured training can help you feel better, but if you have pain, an injury, or a diagnosis, it is important to speak with your doctor first and tell the instructor before class.
Do you offer private sessions?
Yes, private sessions are available. They can be a great option for starting out, returning after a break, or working more precisely on technique.
Is there a trial class?
We do not have a permanent trial class format. If you want to try the studio, you can book a single class, and from time to time we also launch two-week unlimited offers for new clients. The latest offers are best checked on our social media pages.
How do I book a class?
You can book through the app or through the studio administrator. We can also help you choose the right direction and a convenient time.
What should I bring to my first class?
Bring comfortable activewear, socks, and water. For reformer and Lagree classes, grip socks may be needed if they are required by studio policy.
How early should I arrive before class?
It is best to arrive 10 to 15 minutes before the start, especially if it is your first time. This gives you time to change and get familiar with the training format.
Can I be late to class?
It is better to arrive on time so you do not miss the warm-up and introduction. In case of a significant delay, the studio may limit entry for the safety and comfort of the group.
How long is one class?
The duration depends on the format, but most classes usually last around 50 to 60 minutes.
How often should I train each week?
For steady and visible results, many clients choose two to three sessions per week. The ideal frequency depends on your goals, training level, and schedule.
Can I combine reformer Pilates, Lagree, and yoga?
Yes, that is a great approach. This combination helps develop strength, endurance, mobility, and recovery in a more balanced way.
Do you have memberships?
Yes, we offer different membership and class package formats. You can choose an option that matches your routine and goals.
Can I freeze my membership?
Yes, some packages include a freeze option. The exact conditions depend on the membership format and duration.
Can I cancel or reschedule a booking?
Yes, this is usually possible within the studio rules. Exact cancellation and rescheduling conditions are best checked at the time of booking.
Do you have classes for recovery and a calmer pace?
Yes. Yoga and some reformer Pilates formats are especially well suited for a softer practice and recovery-focused rhythm.
How many people are in a group?
Group size depends on the class format and the equipment in the studio. Smaller groups allow the instructor to pay more attention to each person’s technique.
Do I need any special equipment for yoga?
No. Everything needed for class is usually available in the studio. You only need comfortable clothing and water.
What is the best choice for a first class?
If this is your first time with these formats, start with yoga or reformer Pilates. If you want a more intense workout and already feel ready for a challenge, try Lagree.
